This is one of my favorites. It works well on the iPod vertically oriented screen and even better on smart phone type devices with horizontally arranged setups. On the iPhone type screen you can slide it back and forth to change the mood a bit.
This one was captured with a phone camera looking out at a passing rail fence. The slow processing time of the digital "shutter" gives a sweet cubist stretch to the motion.
Easy on the eyes; not too complicated. Utilitarian; when black is not enough, but much more is just too much.
My own making.
Enough said.
At a glance it seems a bit busy for a sucessful wall-paper but it has a stability that projects calm and grace.
It's a great fit and this image by Ann D. Pepper is a swell change of 'PodPaper pace.
A "found" pattern: the happy alignment of the sun, a car window to reflect it, a set of window blinds, and a white wall.
There are a few of these that make very pleasing wallpaper (ImHO). I'll put them all up eventually.
This is a portion of an image in RGP's series in Prospect Park, NYC.
The strength in the structure of this tree makes a calming and visually reassuring 'podpaper.
The entire tree as captured by RGP is nearly iconic of graceful ent power. The original image is a beautiful painting-like photograph well worth the click to go see it.
They just don't get much better than this for calm, meditative 'PodPapers. This is an excerpt from another of RGPepper's beautiful images from Prospect Park in New York City. What a mystical place, this NYC is.

Quiet country lanes can lead you to wherever you need to be.
Yet another beautiful shot by RGPepper that happens to work perfectly as wall paper for handheld devices. (My iPod Touch in particular ;-)
Not many words needed for this one. Other than to note that it's yet another lovely wallpaper courtesy of the eye of RGPepper. Everyday there are more of her images that work perfectly as mood altering 'PodPaper.
A story-laden image of a city street at night. This image by RGPepper (RGP at Flickr.com) is my favorite wallpaper to date and is constantly called back to duty on my iPod.
If you use an iPod Touch or iPhone or G-phone other such handheld or mobile gizmo then you know that the "right" wallpaper can add a nice touch to your day.Chances are this is a stuck "LockBackground.jpg" file in your var/mobile/Library directory.
Delete that file and all should go back to normal.
This phenomenon seems to be related to the "Customize" app, but with emphasis on "seems". That is, the problem is likely to occur if you change your wallpaper via the Customize program. Avoid doing that and the problem should not come back.
You might be able to delete the file through MobileFinder, but this doesn't always work. You will definitely be able to delete it if you go in through SSH. Once you're in on SSH, do this:
# cd /private/var/mobile/Library
# rm LockBackground.jpg
If the first command doesn't work, try changing the 'L' in "library' to lower case.
That should do it. Becareful using 'rm', of course. That is the command for deleting files (rm = "remove").
Remember: don't change your wallpaper via the Customize interface. At least not for now.
