Verizon Wireless & New Breed; Looking Better

Back in December -- about 11 months ago -- we wrote questioning why Verizon Wireless would chose to associate themselves with the service handler "New Breed". The experience with the VZW part of the transactions was super.  The absolute best that dealing with customer service can ever be expected to be. The mysterious New Breed part was, on the other hand, a major let down.

As luck would have it, I've had a chance to interact with them again, just short of a year later but this time New Breed came through on their part like they actually cared about the process and the customer. Cool!

The circumstance is different this time -- enough so that it may be the source of the whole different feel of the transaction. Even so; this time was good and I wanted to put it out there for all to see.

The last time, in December of '07, I voluntarily returned a new phone on the so-called "30 day return policy" and had to wait for "New Breed" -- the service supplier for VZW -- to "inspect" the phone and decide whether or not to issue credit for a new phone.  Long and complicated!

This time it was a phone being replaced on warranty. No inspection required.  In and out faster than promised.  WOW.

So... New Breed can come through -- and hold up their part of Verizon Wireless' great customer service reputation.  And really, really well.  When they want to.
